Mission: To coordinate pastoral care within the church. These teams’ responsibilities include coordinating visitation of homebound members, providing meals to the sick, and sending cards. Fellowship opportunities are promoted through congregational dinners, congregational breakfasts, and small-group dinners. This team works to continue high-quality levels of caring within the church.

Care Teams
Be part of a team that ministers to the needs of a specific church member who may be elderly, ill, or otherwise home-bound.

Grief Support Care Team
Caring Friends

Offer condolences and support for members losing a family member or other crisis, for a full year following the crisis

Food Team
Be part of a 5 or 6 person team that provides a meal when there is a need within our church family, usually due to a death or illness in the family.

Baking Team
Prepare and deliver a baked food (bread, soup, cookies, cake, casserole, etc.) and offer support and/or condolences to the member in need.

Cookie Bakers
Provide home-baked cookies for the receiving of friends before or after a funeral at Unity, or whenever cookies are needed.

Transportation
Provide a ride to appointments and errands as needed.

Prayer Shawl Team
Enjoy the fellowship of others while knitting shawls for those in need in our community.

Nursing Home/Homebound Visitation
Call or visit those confined to home or in extended care facility. Volunteers visit quarterly. Visits may be made alone or with another person.

Hospital Visitation Team
Share in the visitation of church members that are hospitalized. Visits may be made alone or with another person.

Bereavement Guild
This group assists with set up, serving, and clean up of either the receiving of friends or a family meal if needed, due to the death of a church family member.

Send Cards to Seniors/
Sick/Bereaved, etc.
 
Send cards to those who have been ill, a birthday card to those over 65, and to those who are bereaved.

Prayer Chain
Pray for others as requested, and make phone calls or send emails to members on the prayer chain.

Older Adult Ministries
Work with others to provide meaningful ministries and activities for and with older adults in our congregation. Plan and organize programs, mission projects, trips and events for the Lunch Bunch and other older adults.

Young Adult Ministries
A support network of single and married people in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s who gather for Sunday School, social events, and semi-annual service projects. Driven by a love of Christ, and a desire to fellowship with others facing similar life circumstances, all are welcome to join this ministry.
