Hospitality & Evangelism Ministry Team
This team is exploring new possibilities for reaching out to persons in our community, coordinates the Connections Class and other new member ministries, and further develops our congregation’s commitment to welcome and include all people.

Connections Class Leaders
The Connections Class for prospective members and those new to our congregation is offered three or four times per year and lasts for four weeks. Classes meet on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour. Leaders are needed to coordinate and organize this class, to lead class discussions, and to provide hospitality to class members.

Pictorial Directory & New Member Posters
This ministry involves taking pictures of new members as they join, so that the pictures might be used in an updated pictorial directory, as well as church bulletin boards, to visually introduce and welcome our new members.

New Member Shepherds
Serve by introducing new members to the activities and opportunities available in our church. New Member Shepherds meet with prospective new members during Unity’s 4-week long Connections Classes, and are a point of contact for information, friendship, and fellowship for the new member throughout the year. This important ministry helps new members meet other members of the congregation and learn about the church. Shepherds also meet with prospective new members to find out more about the new member and share information about the church.

Welcome Center Attendants
Welcome Center Attendants are needed for each service to answer questions and hand out brochures at the Welcome Center. The Welcome Center is a location where both visitors and members can obtain information that will help them find their way around the church grounds, learn about the different classes and groups that are a part of the church, find out about upcoming special events, learn about the nursery, and many other items of interest.
